Media Management Operator | Ericsson Red Bee

​

Red Bee is a service provider for the media industry including playout, media management, OTT and access services and VOD to clients such as BBC, Channel 4 and ITV.

​

Media Management Operator for Channel 4, with the following responsabilities:

​

  • To collate, ingest and manage media required by Playout, Compliance, Access Services, VOD and other clients. 

  • To log, prep and spot check ingested media to ensure it is ready for playout.

  • To record live incoming material (e.g. studios or outside broadcasts) to server for later playout and/or VOD.

  • To quality check material and report faults where required, according to specific guidelines laid down by clients.

  • Under breakdown conditions, to operate all the equipment manually, including loading, cueing and playing programmes and trailers etc live to air from tape or server.

  • Monitor transfer of material to TX servers, and to and from the data archive, referring to and manually editing missing list as necessary.

  • To spot technical faults and take appropriate action before playout. To constantly monitor the server output for fault conditions and take action, liaising with Line Manager and Engineering staff to correct them promptly.

  • To perform simple compliance edits on AVID or tape to tape.

  • To perform studio and simple outside broadcast pre-transmission technical checks, with engineering back up as required.

Content creator and editor | Aventuras en Britishlandia

Aventuras en Britishlandia’ is a Spanish Youtube channel about life in the UK, including travel video blogs, recipes, language and cultural challenges and sketches.

Editor and content creator, with the following responsibilities:

 

  • Editing with Adobe Premiere and designing typography and graphics with Photoshop and After Effects.

  • Scheduling the content on Youtube and managing social networks related to the Channel (Twitter, Instagram and Facebook)

  • Researching and managing Youtube Analytics

 

              Achievements

 

  • Reached more than 600k views and 14k followers in a year by evaluating and interpreting the Analytics of our channel and implementing the results into our content, as well as keeping a strong presence and constant interaction via social networks and Youtube comments.

‘Doctors Without Borders’ is a non-governmental organization and Nobel Prize laureate that provides healthcare and medical training in conflict zones and underdeveloped countries.

‘Teatro Sol’ is a theatre group formed by the students of Audiovisual Communication and Journalism in the University.

 

Art director, scenographer and part of the marketing team in the play 'Canela en Rama', a play based on 'The Taming of the Shrew' by the theatre company 'Teatro Sol', with the following responsibilities:

 

  • Designing and creating the scenography and moving elements of the play.

  • Putting together the costumes for the characters.

  • As a part of the Marketing team, editing promotional videos of the play with Adobe Premiere.

 

             Achievements

 

  • Won three prizes in the University of Madrid's Annual Theatre Contest, being the first time the company was putting together a play.

‘Plataforma de Divulgación Científica’ is a small company inside the University of Madrid that makes documentaries for Spanish TV and trains students in different disciplines.

 

Being part of the editing team of the company, including the following responsibilities:

 

  • Editing trailers and short promotional videos in Final Cut7.

  • Encoding and transcoding files, exporting projects, sound synchronizing.

 

              Achievements

 

  • Learned how to use Final Cut 7 and X by editing short trailers and conferences twice or three times a week for four hours each day.
